SnowShoe Mountain, Feb 2004

Feb 18th 2004, morning.
This is the boathouse at the bottom of SnowShoe. On the first day I started my day with a breakfast of coffee+Jack Daniels, a beer and a bag of chips.

Feb 18th 2004, morning.
Another angle of the boathouse. Phil is checking out the ambience, and Mark seems to be nursing a headache.

Feb 18th 2004, breakfast.
This is Phil, Mark and Amy having their breakfast interupted by a picture.

Feb 18th, 2004, breakfast.
Amy was nice enough to take "one of the guys."
From left to right that's Mark, me and Phil.

Feb 18th 2004, midday.
A shot from the Powderridge lift.

Feb 18th 2004, midday.
Another shot from the Powderridge lift.

Ditto.

Feb 18th 2004, midday.
Another.

Feb 18th 2004.
Same lift, this time trying to catch a view of how long it is.

Feb 18th 2004, later in the day.
This is the top of The Western Territory. One side is a black diamond, the other is a double black. I stopped to take a picture just in case I wouldn't be alive afterwards.

Feb 18th 2004
Phil, taking in the scenery at the top of Cup's Run, Western Territory. This is an awesome picture.

Feb 18th 2004
Same thing, but in this shot we see Amy inching closer to the edge for a better look.

Feb 18th, 2004
The bottom of Cup's Run! I made it alive!

Feb 18th 2004
The lift at the bottom of Cup's run.

Feb 18th 2004
A shot out the window of The Foxfire Bar and Grill.

Feb 18th 2004
Foxfire grill.
From left to right - me, Phil and Mark.
I'm about to order a BBQ burger with BBQ pork topping, bacon, cheese and fried onion rings, served with a fried pickle. Yummy.

Feb 18th 2004
Same thing, second shot.

Feb 18th, 2004, on our way back to the hotel.
Not a bad shot of the Western Territory. The two clearings at the top are Cup's Run and Shay's Revenge. Both are a mile and a half long.
You can see how they go down the mountain and disappear out of view.

Feb 18th 2004
A failed attempt to get a shot of the Western Territory.

Feb 18th 2004
Another shot of the Western Territory, complete with passerby.

Feb 19th 2004
This is the only shot that came out from the second day (I have a bad memory card.) We are in a pizza shop called "Cheat Mountain Pizza Co." This is just before we go shopping and then depart Snowshoe.
The view out the window was awesome, but because of the contrast, it didn't come out.
Amy is sporting some super-cool pigtails.
